Fox reporters Joey Jones, Rachel Campos- Duffy and Griff Jenkins react to the shocking report that December’s migrant encounters surpassed 300,000 for the first time in US History. Discussion on the Fox & Friends program January 1, 2024.
Joey Jones: While Biden vacations, one resolution he did not say, we will secure our border. Didn’t we expect him to say that? Maybe not. In either case, resolution or not, truth is this month, December of this year, 300,000 migrants have crossed the border, a threshold and record we never touched before. 785,000 more than fiscal year, this is over last three months. Where we are with open borders. Those in the White House have you believe is somehow secure.
Rachel: I don’t think it would be his New Year’s resolution. This is intentional, only problem, he doesn’t want us to see the numbers and draw attention to it. They just don’t talk about it on the other networks.
Griff: Important points. The reporting of Bill Melugin and the Fox Drown Team. They were lonely out there, even when there was not a reporter there, showing the people crossing, so much so CNN now covers it. I recall a call from my CPB source, there are numbers never imaginable in 2021. 74,000 and now 300,000. Griff: Not unusual. She is oblivious.
Rachel: She is not oblivious, she’s a liar.
Griff: She is Lying, intentionally lying to paint a narrative that is anything but the truth when you have Humanitarian National Security Threat risk happening every day at the border.
Rachel: Interesting you brought up the drones. Maybe viewers remember back when drones was over the bridge where the Haitians had gathered and Pete Buttigieg, tried to stop the drones, did not want you to see.
Griff: They did not want you to see, even today we don’t have unfettered access. But for the drone we’re able to show you. What you are looking at is 150 countries from Eagle Pass to Lukeville, Arizona, 1000 miles separate these areas, Eagle Pass average 3000 per day now, No more than 20 – 40 agents on shift. That 200 to 1 outnumbered and congress is about to come back for funding for the border. What I’m watching closely is what they’ll do next. Will they change their policy in border reform or just allocate more money and add 10- 20 more agents to do more transporting and processing. Transporting and processing leaves hundreds of miles of wide-open border for cartels.
Joey: Two terms, there are border crossers and border jumpers, jumping is entering illegally and not being interdicted in any way. You never are in any kind of entanglement with law enforcement and make your way into the country. We want to call those known gotaways. I hate that term, known gotaways describe the amount of people on camera or sensor and does not describe people never detected. What are unknown gotaways? What are they doing? Even if these people, are they bringing drugs and terrorists across the border? We don’t have the resources to know. What might have helped would be sturdy wall we pay.
Rachel: you are right, that would have been more affordable. We are spending more to take care of illegal immigrants than the cost of the wall. What we don’t talk enough about, we look at numbers and talk about them and it is mind- boggling and we don’t spend enough time talking about, Brian Bernburg talked about taxes, what are consequences on the American people? How does this impact our future, and this is an invasion. What are the long-term consequences on your taxes and budget and even on the culture. None of these people will be assimilated, I can say that as the daughter of a Legal.
